185 AÑOS DE HISTORIA DE LA FABRICACION DE SOLDADOS DE PLOMO EN BARCELONA
La historia del soldado de plomo llega a Barcelona desde Italia, en 1828 de las manos de Carlos Ortelli y Dotti , con una gran tradición de fabricación en plomo que se alarga hasta 1945.
Destacaremos su amplio catálogo tanto en temas civiles como militares y sus aproximadamente 500 moldes hechos de pizarra y bronce.
En 1880 otro gran artista, Lleonart, barcelones también realiza soldados de plomo planos de aproximadamente 30mm. Su obra más famosa es la procesión de Corpus de Barcelona formada por más de 800 figuras.
El legado de estos dos grandes artistas esta en posesión del Ayuntamiento de Barcelona.
En 1897 Baldomero Casanellas , a diferencia de los dos primeros artistas que sus figuras eran planas siguiendo el sistema alemán, realiza junto con Eulogio la “figura de bulto”,(figuras en tres dimensiones) en 54 mm. Culminando su obra en 1926 para el coleccionista Arturo Llovera , que hasta hace pocos años estuvo expuesta en el Castillo de Montjuich con más de 20. 000 figuras.

1961 José Almirall gran fabricante de miniaturas, recupera el “soldadito de plomo “no como juguete sino como coleccionismo. Crea una extensa gama de tamaños comercializados en: 30mm. 45mm. 54mm. 90mm.
1968 Lucio Saez Alcocer “artesano” y especializado en 45mm. 54mm. 90 mm.
1970 “Soldat “de Jose Mª Alarcon figuras de 54mm.
1978 “Miniart” Javier Sanjuan fabricante de la gran colección de Los Condes de Barcelona y La Historia de los Mossos d´Esquadra en 90 mm.
